The Golden Age Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to serving the special needs of our shareholders and residents. The Foundation was established in 1973 by members of the Board of Directors of the Golden Rain Foundation.
It’s purpose is to make our community a better and happier place in which to live. Through the generosity of individuals in our community, we are able to provide various programs and projects. All Golden Age programs are provided free to Leisure World shareholders, and the Foundation is entirely staffed by resident volunteers. Our major income source is contributions from shareholders, either individually or through clubs and organizations.
Golden Age Foundation Ralph’s Reward Program Update
In order to provide services to our community the Golden Age Foundation needs to raise funds. There are two easy ways you can help/ donate to the GAF without any cost to you.
First you can help by enrolling in Smile.Amazon.com and indicate your charitable organization as the Golden Age Foundation Seal Beach, every time you shop on Amazon Sale; they will donate a percentage of your purchase to GAF without any additional cost to you.
Ralph’s Community Rewards program is the other way to donate to the Golden Age Foundation. Sign up on www.ralphs.com. You will need your Ralph’s Reward Card number to register or the phone number associated with your account.
On November 6, it was exactly one year since the Golden Age Foundation board has been manning a table at the hospitality center in clubhouse 6 on Tuesdays to help shareholders to sign up for this program. Thanks to you we have had much success increasing from 200 shareholders participating to close to 400. We were able to double the number of Leisure World shareholders who participated. The Ralph’s Community Rewards program currently brings in close to $6,000 per year.
November 26 was the last day that the Golden Age Foundation volunteers will be at clubhouse 6. We want to thank everyone who has signed up for their support.
If you would like to sign up without assistance, either you call at (800) 443-4438 between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Provide Ralph’s Reward Card number or your phone number used to open Ralph’s Reward Card. The bottom of your Ralph’s receipts will reference Golden Age Foundation, NPO number is FS519, they would ask to identify charitable organization. Or go to www.ralphs.com to sign up. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to support the Golden Age Foundation.
